Please help the Women’s golf club achieve their goal to recycle all of the “10c return & earn bottles and cans” which were purchased in the clubhouse. Two bins will be placed out the front of the club house for you to dispose of your 10c return & earn containers.
Please do your bit, help save the planet, and let the club get the tax back. The funds raised will assist our efforts to support club members, contribute to improvements around the clubhouse and go towards the club expenses.
The Shoalhaven Heads Women’s Golf Club is holding a charity golf day to support the Parkinson Nurses. This event has proven to be very successful in past years. For an entry fee of $30 you will be provided lunch, a fun packed game of golf and a chance to win a number of great prizes.
The event will be held on Tuesday 19th June 2018 at The Heads golf course. The tee off time is 8:30am - shotgun start. You will be playing Irish Four Ball in groups of four.

The Macey Insurance Open Tournament was held yesterday at The Heads golf course. A very competitive field of 160 players fought for thirty in number Titleist and Footjoy prizes worth $3,000 in total. The prize winners are listed in the “Golf Results” tab above.

Keenan Hobbs, the new Course Superintendent, commenced work at Shoalhaven Heads Golf Club yesterday. He is currently undertaking a handover from Tony Orford and is looking forward to a seamless transition into his new role. Keenan will also be an active club member as he not only enjoys the game, he finds playing the course assists with planning its maintenance and improvements.
Keenan is a local having grown up in Gerringong while attending St Peter & Paul Primary School and Kiama High School. He now lives in Berry with his wife Karyn. Keenan is looking forward to working close to home, having worked for the past eight years at Wollongong Golf Club.
Keenan brings a depth of experience having worked in the role of course superintendent at Wollongong for the last three years. He appreciates the good shape our course is in and will take a steady hand to maintaining it (if its not broke dont fix it). He is also keen to be involved in its further development and to help the club continue to grow.
We wish Keenan every success in his new role at The Heads golf club. If you have not already met Keenan please make yourself known and welcome him into our club.
The final round of the club championship was played today. The gross winners from left to right in the photo are: Scott Puckeridge C grade, Ian Ashbury A grade, and Justin Mangan B grade. Refer to the golf results page for further detail.
After more than a quarter century of valued support, the PGA has confirmed that Holden will not hold naming rights status over the Scramble series after the current season. This means that the event scheduled on Sunday 17 June 2018 at The Heads golf course is cancelled. A combined bowls / golf day will now be held on the 17 June in place of the Holden Scramble.

The annual Bolong Cup was played at Shoalhaven Heads today between Nowra and The Heads golf clubs. Each club entered nine players. Shoalhaven Heads won the cup with a total score of 296 giving them a 63 points lead over Nowra who finished with 233 points.
The Macey Insurance Shoalhaven Heads Open Mens Golf Tournament is scheduled for Sunday 27th May 2018. We thank Macey Insurance Brokers for their continued support of this event. Everyone should be happy with the prizes on the day with over $3000 worth of Titleist and Footjoy products to be won.

A very competitive field of 16 teams fought it out in the qualifying round of the Stoney Creek 3 Ball Golf Classic today at Shoalhaven Heads Golf Club. Very high scores were posted by the winning teams. The first placed team comprising Garry Hoare, Stuart Harkin and Kevin Franklin managed to score a fantastic 98 stableford points.
